The Analyst, Reporting & Position Control position is responsible for supporting the monitoring and reporting of all physical and paper commodity trades using the commercial department’s deal capture, position reporting and risk management systems. The position serves as an expert resource to the position control and risk analysis functions, solving problems, working special projects, training new analysts and backing up analysts during transitions.

Responsibilities:
-Responsible for internal and external reporting and will supervise two staff members
-Review financial statements, related schedules, and variance analysis for the monthly financial reporting package; lead monthly and quarterly financial review meetings with management
•    Review quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K filings; review all footnotes and schedules, draft relevant disclosures and coordinate comments on drafts of the 10-Q/10-K from multiple parties
•    Lead meetings to present 10-Q/10-K to the Disclosure Committee 
•    Review financial statement disclosure checklists and tie-out support binders
•    Review XBRL tagging of financial statements and footnotes for 10-Q/K filings
•    Review quarterly earnings releases, investor presentations and earnings call scripts

Requirements:
 Bachelor’s in Accounting
•    Minimum 4 years of experience
•    CPA
•    Broad exposure to financial reporting, SEC filings, and the external audit process
•    Public accounting and/or oil and gas industry experience
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Excel proficient
